Specialist education technology funding

Technology funding for schools and academy trusts

Plan device refreshes and infrastructure upgrades around your education setting's priorities. Telappliant helps you scope, deploy and support the technology, with specialist funding options assessed for your institution and project.

Please note: this is equipment finance and paid equipment use, not grant funding.

Funding is subject to eligibility, status and the provider's terms. Minimum commitments and end-of-term conditions apply.

What education funding can help you plan

Device replacement programmes

Plan around fleet age, supported device life and when the next replacement will fall due, so refreshes are budgeted rather than urgent.

Infrastructure projects

Networking, Wi-Fi, security, communications and other eligible equipment can be assessed as part of a defined scope.

Trust and multi-site planning

We map sites, procurement coordination and rollout phases. Combining existing agreements is assessed, not assumed.

Deployment around your calendar

We discuss school holidays, term dates and operational constraints when planning delivery. Dates are agreed, not promised in advance.

Understand the full commitment

Before anything is signed, your proposal should set out:

  • Payment schedule and total amount payable
  • Residual or retention terms, where applicable
  • Return arrangements at the end of the term
  • Damage charges and device care expectations
  • Ownership, or confirmation that ownership does not transfer
  • Notice requirements and early-ending terms

We do not provide legal, tax or accounting advice. Your institution should check its own approval and procurement requirements, and the finance provider can confirm suitable structures for your legal status.

Three ways to pay for education technology

Not every route suits every institution. Suitability depends on your setting's status, approvals and the agreement.

Spread the cost across budget years

Regular payments over an agreed term can help match a device or infrastructure project to annual budgets rather than one large outlay.

Suitable for: Settings that need to protect reserves or phase spending.

A planned device refresh

A defined period of equipment use aligned to supported device life, with return, damage and end-of-term choices set out before you commit.

Suitable for: Schools and trusts replacing laptop and tablet fleets on a cycle.

Pay upfront for a period of use

One advance payment for an agreed period of use, which can suit year-end budget. This is not the same as buying outright; ownership depends on the agreement.

Suitable for: Settings with budget available now that want a defined period of use.

Multi-site arrangements and tailored payment profiles

Organisations with several sites, or with seasonal cash flow, can discuss phased rollouts and payment profiles during a consultation. These are assessed case by case and are not guaranteed.

Technology expertise alongside your funding options

We scope the project, install and migrate the equipment, support it afterwards and help you plan the next refresh. Funding is arranged through a specialist finance provider, and the funding agreement and any Telappliant service agreement may be separate, each with its own terms shown clearly. Telappliant is not a lender.

Telappliant has supported UK organisations for more than 20 years and holds ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certification.
