leased lines

Your own private connection

Ethernet leased lines provide a non-contended, dedicated connection for your organisation. Because the circuit is not shared with other businesses, you benefit from consistent speeds and lower latency, even at busy times.

This also offers improved security and privacy compared to shared broadband, and makes it easier to connect multiple offices using SD-WAN or private networking.

Fixed Ethernet with no usage caps

Leased lines are fully symmetrical, giving you the same upload and download speed. Every user gets a fast, reliable connection, and there are no caps, throttling or overage charges for normal business use.

As your usage grows, you can increase the committed bandwidth on the same bearer, so you don’t have to replace the circuit each time you upgrade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions? You can find some of most frequently asked questions here

What is a Leased Line?

Whereas other connections are shared between businesses and then shared again between employees, further decreasing the bandwidth, a leased line is uncontended, which means it guarantees a consistent speed that stays the same at all times.

Other than high bandwidth, leased lines also offer better security and privacy over other connectivity solutions because they are used exclusively by the company who owns them.

Who needs a Leased Line?

  • Businesses requiring symmetric and the fastest access to the Internet
  • Businesses requiring reliable, uncontended Internet access across several sites and multiple users
  • Businesses requiring consistent, uninterrupted Internet access with rapid problem resolution

How do Leased Lines work?

Leased Lines run over fibre optic technology, which is the most sophisticated medium for transferring data. Fibre optics use light pulses to transport data down fibre lines, and cost much less to maintain than traditional copper lines. Today, all core networks are based on fibre due it’s high-speed capacity and greater defiance to electromagnetic noise.

We aim to install Leased Lines within 30-60 days.

What speeds are available?

Bandwidth can be upgraded as your business grows. Choosing a speed comes down to how many people are using the Internet and your business Internet requirement. For example, you may need to provide VPN access for remote workers to your local offices, or you may be sending many large files over the Internet.

You can choose from 10Mb to 10GB. The technology is scalable, meaning you can upgrade, depending on changing business requirements.

How reliable is a Leased Line?

Very reliable. Our leased lines fix time is within 5 hours, backed with a commercial SLA and with service credits should this repair time be breached. Compare this to broadband services where the repair time is on a best endeavours basis only.
