FTTC Business Broadband

FTTC runs fibre to the green street cabinet and copper for the final stretch into your building. It is still the most widely available business broadband product in the UK, and for many sites it is the practical option until full fibre arrives.

Typical speeds are up to 80 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up, and the actual figure depends on how far the premises sits from the cabinet. We check the line at quote stage and tell you the realistic estimate rather than the headline number.

Business FTTC is not consumer broadband with a different invoice. You get a static IP, business-class fault targets, traffic prioritisation for voice, and monitoring from our network operations centre so faults are usually raised with Openreach before your team reports them.

Where a phone line is no longer needed, SOGEA delivers the same speeds without the line rental, and it is normally the better commercial choice. Where upload speed is the constraint, FTTP or an ethernet leased line is the honest recommendation and we will say so.

Installation is project-managed. We place the Openreach order, configure and ship the router pre-built, and coordinate the switchover so the site is not left without a working connection.
