Allocation and use of numbers

Telephone numbers are allocated to us by Ofcom under the National Telephone Numbering Plan and are sub-allocated to customers for use with our services. Numbers are not owned by you, and must be used in line with the Numbering Plan, Ofcom's General Conditions and this policy.

Geographic numbers should be used at, or with a genuine connection to, the location the code represents. You must keep the registered installation address for each number accurate so that emergency calls are routed correctly.

Prohibited use

• Artificially inflated traffic, revenue-share abuse or traffic pumping of any kind.
• Calling line identity spoofing, or presenting a number you are not authorised to use.
• Nuisance, silent, abandoned or automated calls in breach of Ofcom rules or PECR.
• Unsolicited marketing to numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service without a lawful basis.
• Use of numbers for fraud, harassment, hoax emergency calls or any unlawful activity.
• Number harvesting, resale or transfer of numbers to third parties without our written consent.

Monitoring and enforcement

We monitor traffic patterns for signs of misuse and fraud. Where we identify suspected misuse we may bar destinations, apply spend caps, suspend affected numbers or suspend the service. For serious or repeated breaches we may withdraw numbers permanently and terminate the contract. We will tell you the reason as soon as it is practical and safe to do so.

We cooperate with Ofcom, law enforcement and other providers in investigations, and may disclose relevant call records where the law allows or requires it.

Reporting misuse

If you believe a number on our network is being misused, report it through our contact form at telappliant.com/contact-us with the calling and called numbers, and the date and time of the calls. We investigate every report.
